Our Founder

Lawrence is the founder of Lamonica Advisory Group, an advisory firm that provides strategic support to Latin American family offices and business families. Alongside a trusted group of legal, tax, and financial specialists, he delivers coordinated solutions focused on governance, succession, and cross-border wealth planning. With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of wealth, business, and global markets, Lawrence helps families structure U.S. investments, develop governance frameworks, and implement succession plans that promote long-term continuity across generations. Before founding Lamonica Advisory Group, Lawrence spent over 15 years at SOL Capital Management, advising Latin American families on U.S. investments and globally diversified portfolios. He played a key role in tripling the firm’s assets under management to $3 billion, leading business development and spearheading its family office and next-generation services initiative. His expertise spans cross-border wealth structuring, investment advisory, and the coordination of professional services. As lead advisor, Lawrence aligns strategy with execution to help families navigate complexity, preserve legacy, and expand across borders. Earlier in his career, he served as an international economist at the U.S. Treasury and as an advisor to the Chilean Ministry of Finance, where he worked closely with global institutions such as the World Bank, IMF, and IDB to advance financial stability and economic development across Latin America. He also worked in international business consulting and as an investment executive at Larrain Vial, one of Chile’s largest financial institutions. Lawrence holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C., and a degree in business and economics from Universidad Gabriela Mistral in Chile. He has also completed executive programs at The Wharton School, Columbia Business School, ESE Business School, and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, specializing in private wealth management, family enterprises, family offices, and venture capital. Lawrence is deeply committed to helping families build lasting structures that align business success with family legacy across generations and borders.
